About me

I am taking the staircase to creating art.  

Along the climb, I have learned to SEE what I am looking at,  met wonderful caring fellow art-lovers, and gathered a basketful to tips and techniques. 

I am told my maternal grandmother painted lovely flowers.   I never met her - sadly.  But, I wonder if some of her love for art has passed on to my brother David or me.   I would like to think so! David has always been the "artist in the family" and is extremely creative and talented (check out LetchfordArt.com).

The courage to take up the brush came much later for me..... after the kids were grown...., after my career was established ...., after this or after that.....   So why do we put on hold and wait to do the most satisfying, creative, artistic and fun activities?  Guess we lack confidence or don't make the time or don't know how to get started. 

I am glad I finally did!

I live in the lovely City of Roswell, Georgia.

I have years of working in quality assurance and as a Project Manager for  small, medium and large companies.

I am  now enrolled in the fine art program at GSU, and continue to enroll in art workshops and seminars.

I love to travel - it provides me with new perspectives and lots of new  painting ideas!
